Nameless. Open.
It was night time in Arcadios. The sky resembled that of midnight blue velvet, covering the large lands and casting the land it beheld into darkness. There were no clouds; few objects that illuminated the impossible dark of the sky were the moon and stars in the distance. Neliel always figured the moon held some kind of unnatural and raw power, for even though in the world she came from, Hueco Mundom it was quite opaque, the moon could somehow always be seen as clearly in the night sky as it could be in the desert. Neliel had always found it fascinating to observe the moon’s absurd power shining into the eternal night, but tonight she did not spare a shred of thought for it.
Tap tap, tap tap, tap tap.
Pad pad, pad pad, pad pad.
Her sandals kept a continuous rhythm as she crossed the Gilneas Forest into the eastern sector of Polis.
Tap tap, tap tap, tap tap.
Pad pad, pad pad, pad pad.

Neliel’s pulse was beating at a higher speed than normal, and she quickly swallowed, anxiety and nervousness making her breath come a little faster than it usually did. She had a tight grip on Gamuza, her zanpakuto- only venturing into these unfamiliar forests to train. She had just returned to her adult form upon arriving to Arcadios, and hasn’t witnessed combat since her last encounter with Nnoitra Gilga, some time ago. Nel did detest unnecesary violence, however, if you are in a new land and know barely anything of it’s inhabitants, it would make sense to atleast be able to defend yourself.
Nel lowered her golden eyes to the glowing ground below as she recounted the many, bloody battles she had once fought to defend Las Noches with an overwhelming sadness. The waste of life, the many soldiers that had been sent to their deaths only to have two or three return.. A brief image flashed in her mind as she stared at her arms, covered in black blood and shattered mask fragments, her howls piercing the infinite night of Hueco Mundo as tears ran down her cheeks, the carnage of what she had created laying around her in ruins.
She didn’t have to live that life anymore.

The former espada let out an exhale as she decided on a decent spot- a vast clearing. It was peaceful. As a matter of fact, the majority of the time she has been in Arcadios she’d felt an overwhelming sensation of calm. She was completley isolated, though she enjoyed it. The cold moon shone brightly back at her, and a sense of relief filled Neliel as she looked out over the clearing.
